Open the Heavens and rain down Blessings
Last night we had a great prayer meeting! It was so good to meet as a group of core believers who have the same goal. There was a lot of good information shared but even more importantly a lot of encouragement! Our biggest focus now is securing a building. Hopefully a church will rise up and catch the vision and would be willing to lend us the space to grow up some children in the admonition of the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 6:4)! It is an exciting time and I am grateful to be a part of it. Just keep praying and spreading the word. May God open His heavens and rain down some blessings on this school.

Keep on Keeping on!
Soooo, today was the "big meeting." It turned out to be a big nothing! It was more like we need to contact someone else to help us out because this was not their "specialty." Of course there was words of encouragement passed on to us as well as a prayer for our good efforts, but I felt as though we left with a pat on the back and a "tsk, tsk" as we hung our heads and walked down the hall. But, I have to say that it is such a comfort to have a friend like Michelle who kept her good spirits about her! She did such a great job talking in the meeting, I was so proud! Kind words spoken at a timely moment are like honey, they cheer you up and give you strength (Proverbs 16:24) and that was what Michelle was for me today. It seems so sweet for the Lord to give us both the chance to encourage the other and it always is His perfect timing! I was telling my dear husband it is like taking steps, and when I need a push to keep going she does that, and when she needs a push I do that for her. If we continue in this manner we will eventually make it to our goal, and know that both of us helped each other get there. What a sweet, precious kind of friendship. We all need to encourage each other better. Our Lord is so good. He is good all the time! Tomorrow is another day, I am looking forward to His fresh new promises every day!

A big day ahead!
Tomorrow is a big day for us. Michelle and I will be meeting with the executive of the Southern Baptist Covention (Jim Austin) at 10:30 in the morning. I hope we will have a very productive meeting. We are soliciting his help, expertise, and maybe a little begging along the way. I know for a fact that the Southern Baptist convention has already been keenly aware of the need for Christian schools in our own convention. Per these words by Dr. Morris Chapman, President and CEO of the SBC Executive Committee; "Why shouldn't we have at least one Christian school in every association to merge dynamic principles with academic excellence." He has called on every local baptist association to create a new school. He goes on to say that there could be a number of Southern Baptist churches band together to create an outstanding Chritian school for the area.
Still, with the acknowledgement of these words the task is much more than two women can handle. We need a rising of men, women, families who can support this cause and get on board through support in prayer, manpower, volunteerism, and of course will need donations to get this school up and running. If you need more help trying to figure if this is a good cause for you, here are some websites for you to meander through: Discoverchrisitanschools.com (this has a quick online test it will open your eyes!), Exodusmandate.com (my favorite), and SBACS.org.
Pray for us tomorrow to be able to explain ourselves on how we feel God has put this in our hearts, and help us stay focused on the most important task which is to give our children the future and a hope that is promised to them in Jeremiah 29:11. " For I know the plans I have for you saith the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you to give you a hope and a future."

The mountain is high
The idea to start a christian school is way bigger than two people can fathom! Just me and my very precious sister in Christ have taken on this challenge which we both believe is God inspired. If the whole thing ever does come into being it will only be by His great provision and not our own. We are just two lay people who have a burdened heart to have this nations children turn their faces back to God. We are losing more and more youth to worldliness and immorality and neutrality. A nation of youth whose favorite word is summed up in "whatever!" However, for many of us who seek a better way to raise our children for the future, "whatever" is unacceptable. So here we go on a journey where the mountain is high, but I have assurance that standing on the Promises will help us get a better view of what is at the top of the mountain! For now we must rest on knowing Ephesians 3:20 "Now unto Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly more than we can think or ask, according to His power at work within us unto Him be glory in the church forever."
